9/5/12 - Wedding Extravaganza, Eastbourne Enterprise Centre

Malaika Events opened for business on Saturday 5 May 2012 from our new studio on the first floor of the Eastbourne Enterprise Centre, and is a new addition to the range of businesses and services on offer in the Centre. We are is supported by the New Enterprise Allowance through Eastbourne Job Centre and Let’s Do Business in Hastings who administer the scheme.

Malaika Events was founded by wedding and event planning professionals Rachel Prince and Katrina Evans, and the business was launched by Stephen Lloyd MP, who is a voluntary mentor of the New Enterprise Allowance scheme.

The opening of our business was part of a Wedding Extravaganza organised by Malaika Events, at which 25 exhibitors demonstrated what they can do to create a spectacular wedding or special occasion.

In the early part of the day a catwalk show with local models displayed wedding dresses from the bridal department of the Cancer Research Charity Shop in Terminus Road, kindly lent by Sue.

In the afternoon, Stephen Lloyd cut a ribbon to celebrate Malaika Events and Katalyst Counselling’s opening of their new studio and he also posed for photographs with several of the show’s exhibitors. He said: “I was thrilled to be invited by Katrina and Rachel to open their new business in the Eastbourne Enterprise Centre. Malaika Events makes an excellent addition to the range of retailers and service providers in the Enterprise Centre.”

Malaika Events in collaboration with the Ambassadors Hotel Bloomsbury would like to thank you for supporting our open day on May 19th 2012

The Ambassadors Hotel Bloomsbury Open Day hosted a great event in collaboration with Malaika Events, giving us both the opportunity to show off what we can do.
Both the Enterprise and Prosper Suites were dressed to showcase the many stunning possibilities for your wedding day or special event,
including set up of our ivory satin draping fabric to cover all walls. We also demonstrated ideas for a ceremony and a variety of table styles and packages for a reception.

Rachel and Katrina from Malaika Events together with the Ambassadors' dedicated events team are always ready and on hand to discuss your requirements in detail.
