Malaika Events, founded by wedding and event planning professionals Rachel Prince and
Katrina Evans, is here to solve all your planning and design needs, and Rachel has gained
accreditation to become an International Event and Wedding Planner (IEWP).

Malaika, meaning ‘angel’ in Swahili, brings together our wealth of experiences of travelling the world to bring you a full range of colours, styles and designs. It is our aim to put our hearts into your event, to take your vision and bring it to life to create memories for you and your guests for years to come, as we work to reflect your individual style. Our goal is to offer valuable insight into the planning and design process, and provide ideas, inspirations and direction where needed so you can enjoy the celebrations!

As well as our planning services, we can dress venues and create stunning and stylish table settings. We specialise in a custom-made system which will completely cover the walls of your venue, hiding any unsightly panelling, pictures, wallpaper etc in order to create the look of a ‘room within a room’, softly draped in ivory satin and voile fabric. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding service and an attention to detail that is second to none. Our event packages allow you to receive as much or as little assistance as you need to create your perfect celebration and can be easily adjusted to suit your needs. As planners and designers we will listen attentively, care sincerely, communicate effectively and provide insight and inspiration. We will be discreet and make sure everything is just how you want it to be, supporting your decisions and creating your vision for you.

Firstly, give us a call or write us an email so we can check our diary and make sure we are free for your event.

Next, a free consultation held in our Eastbourne studio or at the venue of your choice will give you the chance to tell us what you would like, talk through your ideas and get input from us.

Following this, we can then put together a proposal and a quote to show how we can fulfil your requirements. Our quote will include a breakdown of the various elements we have discussed, and we can revise your requirements until you are happy.

Then, if you would like us to work with you on your event, we can begin...

Once you are ready to make a firm booking, you will need to read our terms and conditions, sign the contract and return it to Malaika Events along with your deposit to secure your booking.
